Marriage

Eternal marriage is such an important part of our Father’s plan for us. Today, we live in a world where the institution of marriage is being challenged. All around us, people are trying to redefine the meaning of marriage, walking out of their own marriages, and excluding marriage from their life plans completely. Living together before marriage has become a normal and accepted thing in our society. But that is not God’s way.

Marriage is a sacred institution and it is ordained of God. It is such a comfort to my husband and me to know that our Father in Heaven supports our marriage and is, in a sense, “rooting us on.” The adversary would have us give up on our marriage. He wants to tear our family apart – and he is working harder than ever to succeed. But, as we keep the Spirit close to us and continue to live the values that we have been taught, Satan will have no power over us or our marriage.

To willfully destroy a marriage, either your own or that of another couple, is to offend our God. Such a thing will not be lightly considered in the judgments of the Almighty and in the eternal scheme of things will not easily be forgiven.

Marriage is a shelter where families are created. The society which puts low value on marriage sows the wind and, in time, will reap the whirlwind - and thereafter, unless they repent, bring upon themselves a holocaust!

Righteous love is the foundation of a successful marriage.

Marriage is sanctified when it is cherished and honored in holiness. That union is not merely between husband and wife; it embraces a partnership with God.
